Data Consumers

The Data provided through this API belongs to the Data Provider and as a Data Consumer you agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Portcall API and how the data received may be used. All Data Providers will provide the four mandatory data elements, but the Data Consumer should check prior to subscription and fee negotiation which optional data elements can be provided

• Four Data elements are mandatory to allow requests for information to be made. A requestor requires specifically the UNLOCODE of the port, with the others being used ‘in combination’ with each other to make the request.
  • Identification of the journey
  • LOCODE for the port
  • Identification for the vessel
  • Vessel Name
• Other data elements are optional and subject to the Data Provider being able to provide the data but includes:
  • Carrier
  • Call Sign
  • Estimated Time of Arrival
  • Actual Time of Arrival
  • Draught of the ship at arrival
  • Estimated Time of Departure
  • Actual Time of Departure
  • Draught of the ship at departure

To find Data Providers, the optional data elements they can provide and the seaports they are able to provide data for please login with your NoTN account. 

Data Providers may have additional Terms and Conditions for the data exchanged within this API and Data Consumers should refer to these specific Data Provider Terms and Conditions and agree to them prior to exchanging data.  Additional Data Provider Terms and Conditions can be found once you are logged in with your NoTN account.

Data providers

The Portcall API provides data to Data Consumers related to Portcall information and has been developed by IPCSA.

In order to become a data provider, please create a support ticket to start the onboarding. You can find the necessary documentation on what is required for successful onboarding on the data providers documentation page.

Subscription to this API as a Data Provider includes the agreement with the Terms and Conditions for the Portcall API for both the Data Consumer and as the Data Provider. If as a Data Provider you have additional Terms and Conditions over and above the standard Terms of Conditions these have to be shown in the Data Providers Matrix. Ensure that you provide the necessary documentation for this during the onboarding.
